Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 26 June 2025
We at Larian Studios pride ourselves in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our audience. This includes eliminating or lessening barriers that make it harder for people with disabilities or functional limitations to enjoy the universes we create. This Accessibility Statement explains how we realize our accessibility responsibilities in our Merch Store.
1. WHAT IS THIS ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT?
An Accessibility Statement provides information about how you can use a service, especially as a person with disabilities or functional limitations, and details its accessibility requirements.
In this Accessibility Statement, we explain what our Merch Store service is (in Section 2.), how it works (in Section 3.) and how it meets relevant accessibility requirements (in Section 4.).
If you would like to contact us about this Accessibility Statement or have a question or concern regarding accessibility, please see our contact details below (in Section 5.).
2. WHAT IS THE LARIAN STUDIOS MERCH STORE SERVICE?
We set up this Merch Store so you can buy products related to our games. These include things such as deluxe versions of our games, clothing, board games, graphic novels, and many other products we think you might like.
You don’t have to buy anything, but if you would like to, you can place an order to buy an item using this Merch Store. If you place an order, the item will be shipped to the address you provide and you need to pay for it. If you don’t like what you bought, you can send it back to us. The rules that apply to returning items are detailed in our Merch Store Terms of Sale and, in easier language, in Section 3 below.
For further information about our Merch Store, the contract you enter into with us if you make a purchase, and your rights related to this contract, including returns, please see our Merch Store Terms of Sale.
3. HOW DOES THE LARIAN STUDIOS MERCH STORE SERVICE WORK?
3.1 Selecting products to buy
In our Merch Store, you can look at and buy products related to our games. When you use the “Products” button, you can see all products we currently offer. You can select the “Buy now” button for each product to see more information about it. Then, you can use the buttons to change the quantity (number) of products you would like to receive, as well as make additional choices as applicable, such as the platform for a game product or the size of an item of clothing. If you are happy with your selection, you can add a product to your cart by selecting “Add to cart”.
3.2 The shopping cart
This takes you to your shopping cart, where you can see all products you have selected. You can also access the shopping cart by selecting the yellow shopping bag icon at the top right of the Merch Store website. In the shopping cart, you can complete your order or make changes, such as changing the quantity of a product or removing it. If you make any changes, you need to select the “Update cart” button to apply them. You can also see all pricing information here, including item total cost, delivery cost, applicable taxes, and the order total cost. The order total cost is the amount you have to pay when you place an order.
3.3 Checkout
When you select the “Checkout” button, you need to give us some information so we can complete your order. This includes your address, shipping information, and payment details. If you have completed the information in a way that our system is unable to process, you will receive an error message. If everything is correct, you can confirm that you want to place the order. If you confirm, your order is sent to us. You will receive an order confirmation to the email address you have provided during the checkout process and we will start working to prepare your order. If you made a mistake in any of the information you have provided, we can fix it. Please email us at merch-support@larian.com as soon as you notice the mistake. If you change your mind, you can cancel your order at any time before it has shipped.
3.4 Shipping and returns
We will email you when we have shipped your order. At that point in time, a sales contract is concluded between you and Larian Studios. You can track the shipping status of your order. When your order is delivered to you, it is complete. If there is anything wrong with your order, you can contact us at merch-support@larian.com.
You have 30 days to return your order to us if you don’t like it. You don’t have to explain why you don’t want to keep your order. We will refund you the money you paid for the order and shipping to you, but you have to pay the cost of the return shipping to us. You also have the right to return your order if it is defective or does not comply with our product specifications. You are not allowed to return products if you have bought digital software or hygiene-sealed products that you have unsealed. You will not receive a refund from us if the products were damaged because you used them inappropriately.
3.6 Signing up for a Merch Store account
You can also create a Larian Studios Merch Store account to benefit from added functionalities such as completing your checkout process faster in the future. You don’t have to create a Larian Studios Merch Store account if you don’t want to, and you can delete the account at any time.
3.5 Signing up for our newsletter
You can also sign up for our newsletter, the Larian Gazette, to receive information about new products and current events at Larian Studios. To do this, enter your email address in the newsletter field on this website. You don’t have to sign up for the newsletter if you don’t want to, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. HOW DOES THE LARIAN STUDIOS MERCH STORE SERVICE MEET APPLICABLE ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?
We are continuously working to improve our compliance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, “EAA”) by conforming with Harmonized European Standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1. This standard was developed by the European standardization organizations CEN, CENELEC and ETSI and is the current official standard for digital accessibility in the EU. It reflects the content of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), Level AA.
a) Accessibility features
By conforming to the legislation and standards above, we ensure that the Larian Studios Merch Store is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust throughout the entire transaction flow for users with different types of disabilities.

- Color contrast ratios meet the 4.5:1 minimum standard for text and background.
- Content is structured using proper HTML landmarks and headings to aid screen reader navigation.

b) Known accessibility limitations
While we aim for full accessibility, we are aware of the following current issues:
Issue |
Detailed description |
Delay or overlap in voice-over and screen reader narration due to multibanner carousel autoplay |
The multibanner carousel on our landing page automatically advances slides with different featured products. This autoplay may cause users to experience a delay or overlapping speech in voice-over or screen reader narration due to ongoing automatic slide changes. Users can use the provided play/pause control to stop carousel autoplay and prevent this effect, thereby ensuring uninterrupted narration and control of slide content. To manually navigate the carousel slides, users can use the left/right arrow keys to move to the previous or next slide (note: for keyboard navigation to work, the focus must be placed on the carousel container, announced by screen readers as “carousel”). |
Screen readers occasionally reading product names with users’ regional language accents |
Some product names contain ambiguous characters, which cause screen readers to revert from the global language setting “English” to the user’s regional language settings, reading these words with a regional accent. |
c) Improvements and upgrades
We are continuously working on making our Merch Store services even more accessible. Currently, this includes the following projects:
Issue |
Detailed description |
Non-web documents (e.g., PDF invoices) not fully accessible to screen readers |
Due to limitations of our current HTML-to-PDF rendering engine, accessibility features of our HTML invoices are stripped during PDF conversion, resulting in the loss of meaningful data for assistive technologies. We are in the process of transitioning to an engine that allows for accessible conversion. |
5. Contact us
If you are experiencing accessibility issues when using our Merch Store or would like to request alternative formats or support, please contact us at merch-support@larian.com. We will do our best to accommodate your request in a timely fashion.
